Retina 141 - Eastman Kodak - 1937/1939
Yes this is an old one. Daylight loading cartridges were created for 35mm film by Kodak in 1934. Before that, the bulk film had to be spooled in a darkroom (what I personally keep doing because of price and flexibility reasons). So this camera came to life the very early phase of the 35mm as we know today. The lens is an uncoated Anastigmatic Kodak Ektar. Nobody can tell any difference in pictures compared to normal point and shoot of these days (beginning of the XXI century !). The sometimes unwanted lens flare can be put to work in your favor like in this light pen painted picture of my son Andre. |
